X-Men: Days Of Future Past Movie Review

Time travel is always tricky.

It is very difficult to create a film involving time travel that doesn’t contain continuity issues. The first two Terminator films, despite being adored by sci-fi fans worldwide, have many paradoxes throughout the plot of both films because of the time travel used, leaving many fans scratching their heads even today. The Back to the Future movies have very similar problems, although since they were just fun, family comedies, I’m sure that these issues weren’t first and foremost on the filmmaker’s minds. Just like these films, X-Men: Days of Future past has several issues involving the time travel in the story. However, it is still one excellent film. Edge of Tomorrow Movie Review

What do you get when you combine Groundhog Day with Aliens?

Simply put, you get Edge of Tomorrow, the new sci-fi adventure of the summer. In this film, the earth has been invaded by a strange race of aliens called the Mimics, and NATO has formed a military organization called the United Defense Forces to combat the threat. Tom Cruise plays William Cage, a Major in the UDF who is demoted to a footsoldier after blackmailing his General. After dying in combat with the alien forces, Cage soon discovers that he is doomed to live out this scenario over and over again from the moment that he is placed in the ranks with the grunts, living this day until he is killed off and then restarting from that point. Eventually, Cruise meets Sergeant Rita Vrataski, a battle-hardened soldier who is aware of his condition. 22 Jump Street Movie Review

22-Jump-Street-2 If a comedy is judged solely on how hard it makes you laugh, then 22 Jump Street is a fantastic entry in the genre.

For those who don’t know, 22 Jump Street is the sequel to 2012’s 21 Jump Street, a gut-bustingly funny film about two undercover cops named Schmidt and Jenko, played by Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, respectively, acting as high school students in an attempt to blow the lid off of a drug ring operating within the high school. 22 Jump Street finds the two playing the part of college students trying to uncover the source of a new drug called “whyphy” being distributed throughout a nearby college.
